MENDELU Joins Erasmus+ Project
Mendel University Joins Erasmus+ Project to Empower Aging Workforce with Digital Skills.
On April 26th, MENDELU participated in the online kick-off meeting for the “Enhancing Digital and Soft Skills for Ageing Workforce” project, under the Erasmus+ framework (Call 2023 KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education).
This project aims to address the digital divide among the aging workforce in the European Union by developing and implementing an innovative e-learning platform. This platform will offer tailored training in digital and soft skills to enhance the employability and adaptability of older workers.
Expected outcomes of the project include the development of a comprehensive e-learning platform, establishment of local learning centers, and a significant impact on policy.
The project coordinator from MENDELU is Mgr. Bc. Ondřej Pavelek, Ph.D. The Management, Law, and Information Technology Departments from our university will actively participate in the project activities. Other project partners include the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA), Slovakia, M&M Profuture Training, S.L., Spain, Kutahya Dumlupinar University, Turkey, and NGO EconoMind o.z., Slovakia.
These institutions will contribute their specific expertise and resources, aiming to create a more inclusive digital society where age does not hinder professional development or employment.
The project's implementation period is scheduled from April 2024 to September 2026.
